Paper Veggie Garden

Spring means plenty more time in the garden for us. If your little mate grows impatient waiting for seeds to pop you can help them create their own little paper garden to tend to!

Ages: 6+

You will need:
⋒ Egg carton
⋒ Coloured paper (about A6 size for each veggie)
⋒ Scissors
⋒ Glue or tape
⋒ Textas or pencils
⋒ Stapler

To make the veggies:

1. For beetroots, onions & garlic scrunch balls of pink, brown & white paper.
3. For carrots & parsnips, fold cone shapes from orange & cream paper & snip the tops flat.
5. Snip some leaf & shoot shapes from light & dark green paper & glue to the tops of your veggies.
6. Add any extra details using textas.
7. Flip your egg carton over & ‘plant’ your veggies in the holes!

As an extra task, your little mate can design some seed packets that can be stored inside the carton! Simply fold a small rectangle of paper around A6 size in half & staple the open base & side, creating a pocket. Design as you please!
