Mono Printing
Mono prints are awesome. One-of-a-kind artworks that are so simple & fun to create! There are so many methods & this is our latest - possibly the easiest!
You will need:
⋒ Glass dish
⋒ Washable paints
⋒ Paper
⋒ Paper plates
⋒ Paint roller
⋒ Cotton tips (or just fingers!)
1. Place your glass dish (we used a Tupperware container) upside down on a flat surface.
2. Squirt out your paints onto paper plates or a tray for easy rolling.
3. Using your roller, apply paint all over the dish.
4. Using cotton tips or fingers, draw a design of your choice.
5. Place your paper down, smooth gently then peel away to reveal your print!
6. Repeat! You can wipe the dish clean after each print or simply build up the paint, it’s completely up to you!
The glass dish allows your little mate to see their designs easily before it’s printed. If you don’t have a glass dish you could try a clear plastic container, or even tape down a sandwich bag!
We use A5 paper, it’s a great size for little hands and makes a perfect card when folded in half!
Have fun!
