Fruity Bug Stamps

Spring time means garden bugs! Here’s a super fun buggy stamp activity your little mates are going to love!

Ages: 4+

You will need:

⋒ Pears & apples

⋒ Acrylic paints (red, yellow, black & green)

⋒ Brushes

⋒ White paper

⋒ Textas

  1. Cut your pear in half & your apple into quarters (this is a grown up’s job!)

  2. For the lady bug: Paint the top section of the pear black, & the bottom section red. Ensure you have applied plenty of paint as the fruit tends to absorb it!

  3. For the bee: Paint the top section of the pear black, then paint yellow & black stripes for the bottom section.

  4. Stamp your bugs! Press down firmly & give a little wiggle.

  5. For the leaves: Paint your apple quarters green & stamp away!

  6. Once dry, you can add details using the textas like spots, legs & antennae!

Your first few stamps may not be your best as you learn just how much paint to apply. My tip is to cut as straight as possible to ensure the entire side of the fruit sits flat on the paper.

Have fun!
