Crafty Camera

In a time before study & kiddies I carried a camera everywhere, & took way too many photos.
Every now & again, my snaps would grace the pages of beloved @frankiemagazine, which always made me smile (and still does!) I’m feeling like it’s time for a return, so I made a crafty camera so little mate could join!

You will need:
⋒ Small cardboard box
⋒ Paper cup
⋒ 2 lids (preferably 1 clear)
⋒ Ribbon
⋒ Scissors
⋒ Glue

1. Trace around the bottom of the paper cup onto the centre of your box & cut it out. (camera body)
2. Paint your camera body & leave to dry. We did a layer of white paint, then a layer of colour.
3. Squeeze the paper cup base thru the hole. (camera lens)
4. Punch a hole either side of the box and tie a length of ribbon. (camera strap)
5. Glue the box shut, then glue the two lids on the top (viewfinder & shutter button)
6. Get snappin’! You can make these as tricked out as you like!

We just kept it pretty simple to show that you don’t need much to make something pretty special.

Have fun!
