CD Print Making

I think printmaking is close to my favourite art activity. There are endless options and techniques & it allows kids to experience cause & effect, which ignites their interest! This one was super simple & made the prettiest mini artworks.

Ages: 5+

You will need:
⋒ An old CD or DVD
⋒ Acrylic paints
⋒ White or coloured paper
⋒ Cotton tips

1. Cover the shiny side of the CD with your first paint colour, using your finger or a brush to spread.
2. Use your finger or a cotton tip to draw lines, patterns or dots.
3. Add additional paint details like spots or squiggles (not too much for the first print!)
4. Lay your paper on top, gently push down then peel away, revealing your print!
5. Add more details using paint & cotton tips then repeat step 4 as many times as you like!

Have fun!
