Erupting Monsters

This little science experiment never gets old! Today we tried a monster twist.

You will need:
⋒ Kitchen roll
⋒ Scissors
⋒ Coloured paper
⋒ Eye stickers
⋒ Glue / tape
⋒ Bi-carb soda
⋒ Food colouring
⋒ White vinegar

1. Cut your kitchen roll into thirds.
2. Cut & wrap coloured paper around each section, securing with tape.
3. Cut out three black ovals & a bunch of little triangles- these will become your monster mouths!
4. Let your little ones decorate their monsters, sticking on their mouths & eyes. Eye stickers are so simple & sweet- found in the create kits!
5. Once everything is dry, pop your monsters on a tray & take them outside (or somewhere safe to make a mess!)
6. Pour 2 tbsp of bi-carb & a few drops of food colouring into each monster (no need to mix)
7. Pour the vinegar inside & watch them erupt!

If you have them, use droppers for the food colouring. This allows the little ones to work on their fine motor skills.
Afterwards, grab some brushes and paper & let your little mates paint with the aftermath!

Have fun!
