Egg Carton Bunnies
These little guys are so addictive to make you’ll be making a whole fluffle!
You will need:
Egg carton
Pencil
Ruler
PVA glue or glue gun
Acrylic paints
Black felt-tip pen
Cotton wool ball
Roughly cut out the middle cone section from the egg carton so it's easier to work with.
Use a pencil and ruler to measure and mark 3cm from the top on one side of the cone, and draw a line across. On the opposite side, measure and mark 4cm from the top and draw another line. Join them with diagonal lines either side.
Cut out your bunny's body. My tip is to snip up the cone corners to the pencil line, then fold back the flap and cut it off!
For the ears, draw a petal shape on a flat part of the carton lid (4-5cm). Cut it out, then cut a curvy ‘V’ shape. You can use this as a template for more bunnies!
Glue the ears on the back of your bunny head. Once dry, you can carefully bend them back so they stand up straight.
Paint the bunny whatever colour you like!
Add details with a felt tip including eyes & a nose. Pull a small amount of wool out of the cotton ball & roll into into a tail to glue on the back. Now repeat to make a whole fluffle! (Yes, fluffle!). 🐇🐇🐇🐇🐇
A smaller 6 cup carton makes a perfect little warren for your bunnies. You can also use similar instructions to make chicks! Instead of ears, just cut 2 small leaf shapes for wings & a small triangle for the beak!
