Cloud Mobile

Last week we made a sweet, little colourful rain cloud to brighten up these wintry days. This one was inspired by @reaching_happy with a few little adjustments as I had some paper plates lying around!

You will need:
⋒ 1 paper plate
⋒ Hemp cord/ string
⋒ Hole punch
⋒ Recycled cardboard
⋒ Chalk/textas/paints

1. Fold your paper plate in half to create the cloud shape.
2. Punch evenly-spaced holes around the curved edge & thread your string through. This is great for older kids to practice fine motors skills but may be a little tricky for little ones!
3. Trace a raindrop shape onto your cardboard & cut out.
4. Use this raindrop as a template to cut out 4 more.
5. Colour your raindrops. Use anything you’ve got! We tried chalk for something a little different.
6. Punch a hole at the top of each raindrop & five evenly-spaced holes along the bottom of your cloud.
7. Tie string to each raindrop & attach to your cloud. Keep the string differing lengths to give a ‘falling rain’ effect.
8. Punch a hole at the top of your cloud & attach some string to hang.

Have fun!
