Cardboard Birthday Cake

With a certain someone’s 4th birthday fast approaching I thought we would get in the spirit & create a little craft cake to decorate!

Ages: 5+

You will need:
⋒ 2-3 cardboard boxes or containers of differing sizes.
⋒ Toilet rolls / kitchen rolls cut in 1/2
⋒ Glue gun / glue stick
⋒ Acrylic paints
⋒ Scrap crafty bits & bobs
⋒ Orange cellophane

1. Stack your containers largest - smallest to make your cake shape & glue in place.
2. Slap on some paint, don’t forget the toilet roll candles!
3. Add any extra decos - we glued on scrap tissue paper as sprinkles.
4. Glue your candles in place.
5. Pop some orange cello in the top as the flames.
6. Finished! Optional - punch a hole either side & tie a strap to become the perfect party hat!

There are so many things you can do with this depending on the age! Layer with felt jam, cotton ball cream, pom pom sprinkles or add goopy painted icing. The best thing is you can blow out the candles as many times as you like!

Have fun!
