Scrape Painting

Scrape paintings are a super simple and fun process for creating artworks & mixing colours. We simply rolled out a sheet of butcher’s paper on a flat surface, blobbed on our paint (sometimes uniform, close together in a line, other times spaced out & different sizes) and used our scrapers (piece of cardboard packaging) to scrape the paint across the paper, creating the boldest artworks! We have left it to dry & will use it as wrapping paper.

There are so many options for this one. Kids can play with different colour combos, try quick, slow, light & hard scrapes, creating incredible depth & unique patterns.

You could even try a mini version using A4 or A5 paper & an old bank card as a scraper!

Have fun!
